Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-108 dated July 6, 2023 “On measures for the effective organization of public administration in the field of competition development and consumer protection within the framework of administrative reform” was adopted.
In accordance with the Decree, the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee is a republican antimonopoly body that reports directly to the President of the Republic Uzbekistan and accountable to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-108 dated July 6, 2023 “On measures for the effective organization of public administration in the field of competition development and consumer protection within the framework of administrative reform” was adopted.
Starting from October 1, 2023: a register of economic entities that have been granted exclusive rights will be introduced; the Competition Committee will determine terms of transaction, territory on which goods are sold, and subjects capable of unilaterally influencing setting of prices, as well as prohibit them from abusing their superior bargaining power
