In accordance with the Decree, the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee is a republican antimonopoly body that reports directly to the President of the Republic Uzbekistan and accountable to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
Starting from October 1, 2023: a register of economic entities that have been granted exclusive rights will be introduced; the Competition Committee will determine terms of transaction, territory on which goods are sold, and subjects capable of unilaterally influencing setting of prices, as well as prohibit them from abusing their superior bargaining power
