Appeals submitted by individuals and legal entities to the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding services provided in the fields of housing construction, finance, and education are being resolved positively.

Fergana Region
A resident of the city of Fergana applied to the territorial department, stating that his rights had been violated under a contract concluded with a construction company.
According to the appeal, the citizen concluded a contract with the construction company for the purchase of a residential property with a total area of 110 square meters and made the required payment. Subsequently, during the registration of the cadastral documents, it was revealed that the actual living area was 108 square meters. The examination confirmed a discrepancy of 2 square meters in the area of the residential property.
As a result of the measures taken, the citizen’s rights were restored, and the consumer was refunded nearly UZS 10 million paid for the excess area.
Tashkent Region
The territorial department reviewed an appeal submitted by a citizen who stated that, while transferring money through the “Paynet” application, the funds had not reached the recipient’s bank card and that his attempts to recover the money had produced no result.
Following the examination, JSC “Paynet” ensured the refund of UZS 5 million to the applicant.
Syrdarya Region
A resident of the city of Shirin applied to the territorial department, stating that he had purchased a distance learning course from Marstiff sat academy LLC and studied for two months. However, being dissatisfied with the quality of the education, he requested practical assistance in terminating the contract and obtaining a refund of the amount paid for the course.
The service provider was informed of the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Consumer Protection”. As a result, the contract concluded with the citizen was terminated, and the refund of more than UZS 1 million paid for the training course was ensured.
