The Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce has recognized its strategic partnership with the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan by publishing information on its official page about their joint activities.
In particular, CLDP highlighted a seminar organized for the Committee on commodity market regulation, futures trading, and the role of the regulator in overseeing commodity resource markets. The event was held as part of Uzbekistan’s efforts to develop the regulatory framework necessary for launching futures trading.
The program also noted a series of meetings with the management, specialists, traders, and brokers of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange, focusing on the practical aspects of developing the futures market and the market for derivative financial instruments.
According to CLDP, these initiatives will contribute to the development of a modern and efficiently regulated commodity market in Uzbekistan, strengthen the integration of market participants with international commodity exchanges, and support the further expansion of international trade.
