Representatives of the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee are participating in the seminar on “Regulating the price of services to achieve fair tariffs in the countries of Central Asia”
Today, on May 17, 2023, a seminar on “Regulating the price of services to achieve fair tariffs in Central Asian countries” is being held at the Radisson Blu Tashkent hotel in Tashkent.
This seminar is organized within the framework of the project “Energy Regulatory Cooperation in Central Asia” of United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC).
Seminar is being conducted by experts of the international audit-consulting company “KPMG” and with participation representatives of NARUC, also representatives of the Ministry of Energy, JSC “National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan”, JSC “Hududiy elektr tarmoqlari”, JSC “Thermal power plants” and senior officials of the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee are participating at this seminar.
We recall that on February 6-9 and 13-16 of this year, Committee senior officials participated in four technical modules on “Cost of service regulation in energy sector to achieve cost-reflective tariffs in Central Asian countries” organized by NARUC at the Radisson Blu Tashkent hotel in Tashkent.
