The Competition Committee delegation’s working visit to the United States continues
A delegation led by the leadership of the Committee is currently in the United States on a working visit and is participating in a number of international events and official meetings.
🔵 The delegation attended the opening ceremony and main sessions of the “International Futures Industry” conference — FIA Global Cleared Markets Conference, held in Boca Raton, Florida.
🌐 This event is considered one of the largest and most prestigious gatherings in the field of international futures and derivatives markets. For nearly 50 years, the conference has brought together leaders of global exchanges, clearing organizations, financial institutions, technology companies, and regulatory authorities. Discussions focus on major trends in global futures and clearing markets, emerging technologies, and regulatory policies.
📁 In addition, representatives of the Committee held an official meeting with the leadership of CME Group Chicago Mercantile Exchange. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the development of futures trading and the organization of seminars and training sessions for market participants. They also exchanged views on international experience in the futures market, modern trading mechanisms, and opportunities for the effective use of hedging instruments.
📍 Furthermore, in Washington, District of Columbia, an official meeting took place between representatives of the Committee and Stephen Gardner, Head of the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
📈 During the meeting, it was emphasized that political and economic relations between our countries, as well as bilateral cooperation, have reached a historically high level in recent years. In addition, progress within the framework of the “Cooperation Roadmap” developed jointly by the Committee, CLDP, and the Commodity Exchange was discussed.
⭕️ As part of the visit, a meeting was also held with senior officials responsible for antitrust policy and consumer protection at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
✅ During the meeting, a presentation was delivered on the results of reforms aimed at improving the competitive environment and protecting consumer rights in our country in recent years. The parties also discussed priority areas for exchanging experience and further developing effective cooperation in these areas.
