In order to identify and prevent corruption offences in a timely manner, a hotline (71-207-49-00) on anti-corruption issues has been established in the Committee’s system and its charter has been approved. In accordance with the laws “On Appeals of Individuals and Legal Entities” and “On Combating Corruption”, this charter defines the procedure for receiving applications and examining complaints related to corruption in the Committee’s system. A separate e-mail address (acc@antimon.gov.uz) for anonymous appeals and a Telegram channel @ACRUantic_bot related to the fight against corruption have been created and are functioning in accordance with the established procedure. Anti-corruption-related information is also posted on the Committee’s official Facebook page.
According to the work plan of the Division of Internal Audit, Anti-Corruption and Study of Law Enforcement Practices of the Committee for 2023, it was planned to organize training seminars in order to regularly improve the skills of employees of the Committee and its territorial departments in the fight against corruption.
On 28 April and 8 September 2023, a training seminar was organized with the participation of specialists from the Anti-Corruption Agency, and on 5 October – with the participation of R. Nurbekov, Senior Prosecutor of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In October 2023, anti-corruption knowledge and skills assessment tests were organized for the staff of the Committee’s territorial offices.
In addition, from November 22 to December 4, 2023, the Committee and its territorial offices held “Open Doors” events and training seminars with regional prosecutor’s offices and regional justice departments.
On December 29, a seminar event was held on “Development of Competition and Consumer Protection” and “Development of Fair and Open Competition: Problems and Solutions”.
According to the results of anti-corruption activities carried out by the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee, no cases of corruption in the sphere were observed during 2023, as well as no appeals to the employees of the Committee’s system on the facts of corruption or conflict of interest were received.
