On June 12 of this year, within the framework of the 3rd meeting of the heads of competition authorities of the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Shusha, the Chairman of the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Halilillo Turakhujaev, held separate bilateral negotiations with the head of the Turkish Competition Committee, Mr. Birol Küle, the head of the State Agency for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Elnur Bagirov, and the head of the Hungarian Competition Authority, Mr. Chaba Balaj Rigo.
During the bilateral negotiations, it was emphasized that the heads of our states pay special attention to the development of multifaceted cooperation, considering these areas of strategic importance.
During the meetings, issues such as the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of consumers, the relevance of establishing an open and close dialogue with the public, topics that have become relevant in recent years, including regulatory approaches to increase the attractiveness of investing in our national economy for global digital platforms and creating favorable business conditions for the introduction of new digital services and opportunities were also discussed.
Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the mutual exchange of information and experience in conducting studies within the framework of competition legislation requirements, as well as the organization of joint professional development (internships) for competition authority specialists.
