New solutions for handling consumer appeals and strengthening public oversight
Within the framework of the international conference titled “Consumer Protection: Problems and Solutions,” issues related to improving the system for handling consumer appeals and strengthening public oversight were discussed.
At the event, K.Tursunov – Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on Budget and Economic Reforms, E. Aslonova – Member of the Committee on Entrepreneurship, Competition Development and Industry of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and J. Boboev – Professor of the Department of Civil Law at Tashkent State University of Law and Doctor of Legal Sciences delivered speeches. In their remarks, the speakers emphasized the importance of further improving the consumer rights protection system, expanding the use of digital technologies, ensuring openness and transparency in handling citizens’ appeals, and strengthening mechanisms of public oversight.
Additionally, leading specialists and experts from foreign countries — Mr. Burak Tufan (Turkey), Mr. Joon Gil Lee (Korea), and Mrs. Akari Yamamoto (Japan) — participated in the conference and delivered presentations dedicated to international experience and cooperation in the field of consumer rights protection
It is worth noting that long-term and effective cooperation has been established between the Competition Committee and German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation. Within the framework of this partnership, a number of important projects aimed at protecting consumer rights, improving financial literacy, and introducing advanced international practices in the field are being implemented.
