Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee, in cooperation with the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), is organizing an international seminar entitled “Futures Trading and Regulation of Commodity Markets,” which will take place on June 22–23, 2026, at the Hilton Tashkent City Hotel in Tashkent.
The seminar will be attended by the leadership of the Competition Committee, Alina Nasir, an international consultant for the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Alexа Black, an international program specialist and Kevin Piccoli, an international expert in commodity futures markets. During the event, the speakers will present international experience in the establishment and operation of commodity futures markets, the conduct of exchange trading, the functioning of settlement and clearing systems, compliance with AML/KYC requirements, the protection of client interests, market oversight, risk management, and the role of regulators in ensuring the efficient and transparent functioning of these markets.
