In accordance with the Regulation on the Procedure for the Sale of Highly Liquid and Monopoly Products through Exchange Trading, approved by Resolution No. 170 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 18 March 2020, the antimonopoly authority conducts continuous monitoring of exchange prices.
As a result of a review conducted by the Fergana Regional Department of the Competition Committee regarding possible violations of legislation prohibiting actions that restrict or may restrict competition in exchange trading, it was established that “T.O-MOXIDIL” PE sold cotton meal and cotton husk in five cases at prices exceeding the average exchange quotation prices, thereby obtaining nearly UZS 100 million in unjustified income.
Based on the identified violations, the Special Commission of the Fergana Regional Department initiated proceedings against “T.O-MOXIDIL” PE for indications of violations of Article 29 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Competition” and the requirements of the Regulation approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 170. Following the review, appropriate enforcement measures were imposed in accordance with the established procedure.
In addition, the company was issued a mandatory order to eliminate the violations and prevent similar cases from occurring in the future.
