As part of the second day of the international conference “Platform Economy: Competition Law and Market Power of Digital Platforms” taking place in Tashkent, the Competition Promotion and Сonsumer protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a panel session on “Regulating Digital Markets in Emerging Economies”.
The panel session was opened by Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Farrukh Karabaev.
At today’s panel session, distinguished experts with extensive professional experience shared their expertise and perspectives.

They shared their experiences on competition law and strategies for regulating digital platforms.
In addition,
Vikas Kathuria (Professor, BML Munjal School of Law, India)
Yuxi Chen (BRICS Competition Law and Policy Centre) presented new approaches to monitoring and analyzing digital markets.
During the event, Committee officials engaged in direct dialogue with international experts, receiving answers to their questions on digital market regulation. This interaction served not only as a platform for experience exchange but also as an opportunity to enhance the professional capacity of national specialists and to discuss the application of global approaches within Uzbekistan’s practice.
