On May 13 of the current year, the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a training seminar and expert consultations on the topic “Studying the Practice of Applying the Institution of Superior Bargaining Power in Uzbekistan” with the participation of a group of officials and experts from the Agency for Protection and Development of Competition of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The experts were provided with information on the key innovations and changes in the field of competition legislation introduced within the framework of the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, as well as on the main areas of the Committee’s activities.
Within the framework of the seminar, a presentation was also delivered for Kazakh specialists on the current state of the practical application of the institution of “superior bargaining power” in Uzbekistan, its legal and methodological foundations, and detailed information on the subject was provided.
The guests from Kazakhstan highly appreciated the reforms implemented in recent years in Uzbekistan in the field of competition policy, particularly noting the extensive experience accumulated by Uzbekistan in this area, and also expressed their gratitude to the Committee for its assistance in organizing the seminar.
Following the seminar, the parties agreed to continue constructive dialogue and activities aimed at further developing cooperation.
