On March 8–9, 2026, in Boca Raton, Florida, USA, the International Regulators Meeting organized by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) was held, with a delegation from the Competition Promotion and Сonsumer protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan participating under the leadership of its management.
The meeting aimed to strengthen cooperation and exchange experience among regulators operating in the field of international financial and commodity market regulation. The event was attended by representatives of over 40 international regulatory organizations from more than 15 countries, including the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Singapore.
Key topics discussed at the event:
✅ Regulatory policy modernization: adapting oversight and regulation to modern economic requirements, supporting innovation and economic growth;
✅ Digital asset markets: cross-border transactions, risk management, and ensuring market transparency;
✅ Self-Regulatory Organizations (SROs): global integration and protection of investors’ interests;
✅ Central Clearing Organizations (CCPs): effective oversight of clearing institutions and addressing key regulatory priorities.
This international meeting provided an opportunity to study advanced international experience in the regulation of commodity and financial markets, familiarize with modern approaches in the field, and further develop cooperation between Uzbek and foreign regulatory authorities.
