Today, on March 16, the Competition promotion and Consumer Protection Committee and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) held a training seminar for officials of responsible bodies in the field of public procurement, on the topic “Combating collusion in public procurement” at the “City Palace Tashkent” hotel.
Representatives of the delegation led by Antonio Capobianco, Deputy Head of the OECD Competition Department, made presentations on topics such as the role of application and promotion of competition law in combating collusion and corruption in public procurement, ensuring legal understanding of cases of collusion in public procurement with point of view of competition, for responsible employees of ministries, departments and organizations.
Also, the participants of the seminar got acquainted with the best foreign practices in the development of bidding rules to prevent cases of collusion in public procurement and the collection of suspicious evidence in identifying cases of collusion in public procurement.
At the same time, during the event, the possibilities of cooperation with the authorities responsible for public procurement and the Spanish Competition Authority were considered.
We would like to remind you that this training seminar was organized within the framework of the project “Fair Market Conditions for Competitiveness” jointly with the Competition Committee and the OECD.
Also, on March 13 this year, an international conference was held on the topic “Effective fight against cartel agreements and cases of collusion in the implementation of public procurement” and on March 14-15, two-day training seminars were also held for employees of the Committee system aimed at improving their skills in this area on the topic “Effective fight against cartel agreements and cases of collusion in the implementation of public procurement procurement”.
Also on March 13 this year, an international conference was held on the topic “Effective combating cartel agreements and cases of collusion in public procurement” and on March 14-15, two-day training seminars were also held for employees of the Committee’s system aimed at improving their skills in this area on the topic “Effective combating cartel agreements and cases of collusion in public procurement”.
During the event, representatives of the media and the public were informed about the work done by the Committee in 2022.
