An international conference is planned to be held within the framework of the second phase of the project “Fair Market Conditions for Competitiveness in Uzbekistan” in cooperation with the Antimonopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Tashkent, on October 10-13 this year.
This international event is expected to serve as a platform for discussions of a number of topical issues directly related to the current competition law and policy, as well as an opportunity for the exchange of ideas, skills and experiences by industry representatives, international and national experts invited to the event.
The main goal of this project is to analyze Uzbekistan’s legislation and economic policy in the field of competition, to develop reasonable proposals for the government and relevant state organizations on which aspects to continue the current effective policy and to improve the country’s legislation and economic policy in the field of competition in accordance with international best practices.

Recall that on June 8 of this year, the committee directly participated in an international event dedicated to the results of the first stage of the project “Fair Market Conditions for Competitiveness in Uzbekistan” with the participation of the partner organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), experts from a number of countries and foreign countries, as well as official representatives, specialists of ministries and departments.
