On February 21-24 of this year representatives of the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in seminar-training on “Consumer protection and dispute resolution (cases from the regulators practice)” organized in Tashkent city by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of the project “Energy of Central Asia”.
At this event, international expert Merita Koster held presentations on the best foreign experience of European countries on the following topics:
– management regulatory functions and objectives;
– elements and features of conflict resolution (form, main elements, causes of conflict, alternative methods of conflict resolution);
– consumer complaints/dispute resolution policy;
– the basics of clear and effective dispute resolution;
– dispute resolution procedure by various supervisory authorities in individual countries, etc.
Such trainings can further improve the knowledge and skills of employees of the Committee, as well as in depth to study the best experience of solving problems that arise in practice.
