A recent visit by the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Mr. Olaf Scholz, to Uzbekistan, along with meetings between the leaders of our two countries, highlights the strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Germany.
This growing partnership was also evident in today’s meeting between the Competition Committee and representatives of the German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation.
During the meeting, led by the Chairman of the Committee H.Turakhujaev, the parties reviewed the progress made throughout the course of their collaboration and discussed new objectives to be undertaken in the future as part of their joint efforts.
A key moment of the meeting was the signing of an agreement to amend the current memorandum of cooperation between the two organizations. The updated memorandum places particular emphasis on areas such as fostering competition, digitalization, employee training, and institutional development.
The Committee began its cooperation with the German Sparkassenstiftung in 2021, with the signing of a bilateral memorandum of understanding focused on consumer protection in the financial sector.
