Shavkat Mirziyoyev: Uzbek language is a symbol of national identity and state independence, a huge spiritual value for our people
We truly consider it our sacred duty to preserve this wealth and pass it on to the next generation. At the initiative of the Department of Spirituality and Development of the State Language under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a republican competition “Let your honor be exalted, my native language!” at which The Antimonopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan was recognized as the “Best management system in the state language” and the organizing committee of the competition awarded it the second place among the ministries, institutions and enterprises of the Republic.
In recent years, a number of resolutions and decrees have been adopted aimed at raising the status and prestige of the state language. In each ministry and department, the position of adviser to the head has been introduced to improve the efficiency of spiritual and educational work and ensure compliance with laws on the state language.
Over the past 2 years, significant work has been done in state authorities and institutions in terms of implementing legal documents and improving legislation related to the state language.
The Antimonopoly Committee has also done a lot of work in this direction. Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 10, 2021 No. 61 “On measures to ensure a phased complete transition to the Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin script” provides for the transfer of office work to the state language of the Latin alphabet by January 1, 2023. In 2021, on the initiative of Chairman Sh.Sh.Sharakhmetov, the Antimonopoly Committee was one of the first to transfer office work to the Uzbek alphabet based on the Latin alphabet.
In order to implement the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 52, 10 managers and employees appointed to responsible positions in the Committee’s system successfully passed the exams of the State Testing Center and received certificates of knowledge of the state language. Also, about 20 more managers and employees appointed to responsible positions are registered to participate in the tests.
The Committee achieved great results in conducting work in the state language. The issue of the development of the state language is important for all of us. In this regard, the Antimonopoly Committee and the Consumer Protection Agency under the Committee carried out significant work. It is especially important that the authority and position of the state language be legislated.
Congratulations to the staff of the Antimonopoly Committee.
All compatriots with the holiday of the Uzbek language!
