On September 7, within the framework of participation in the 53rd meeting of the Interstate Council on Anti-Monopoly Policy held in Minsk, bilateral talks were held between the Chairman of the Anti-Monopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Sharakhmetov and the Head of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of Russia M. Shaskolsky. During the negotiations, topical issues of anti-monopoly regulation, stock exchange control and price regulation in food markets were discussed.
A memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of competition policy was also signed between the Anti-Monopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of Russia.
The main purpose of the signing of the memorandum is to develop cooperation between the parties in the field of competition policy, as well as in the investigation and consideration of cases of violations of anti-monopoly legislation, and exchange of experience in the field of public procurement and stock trading.
