The Bukhara Territorial Department of the Antimonopoly Committee received an appeal regarding to revision of tariffs on natural gas bills supplied by the regional branch of “Bukhoragaz” to wholesale consumers in April-August 2019.
It turned out that the suppliers did not comply with the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers Decree No. 897 of November 1, 2018 and Appendix 2 to the Cabinet of Ministers Decree No. 22 of January 12, 2018 “On the Use of Natural Gas”, as a result of which, in relation unreasonably high gas tariffs were applied to the region’s enterprises.
In particular, Bukharagaz for 21.627 m3 of natural gas supplied by FOTON LUX LLC in May last year applied 1.4% to the current tariff. That is, if 1 m3 of gas was worth 1000 soums, the company was considered 1400 soums per 1 m3, which amounted to 8 million 650 soums. In addition, a coefficient of 1.4% to the current gas tariff for April – August last year was applied to 114 enterprises in the region. The total amount of unjustified charges amounted to 1 billion 54 million 740 thousand soums.
The Bukhara Territorial Department of the Committee issued an order on the recalculation of funds in favor of consumers.
