In accordance with the order, the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee is implementing a number of measures to take into account the need for alcohol for the annual production capacity of business entities, as well as the amount of alcohol purchased through exchange trading.
An official announcement was made on the submission by economic entities to the Committee and its territorial bodies of relevant documents (including licenses and certificates of conformity) confirming the annual need for food and technical ethyl alcohol.
The information provided by business entities, ministries and departments was analyzed in order to form in electronic form a list of manufacturers that have the appropriate license to purchase food and technical ethyl alcohol and a certificate of conformity issued for mass-produced products, as well as a list of end users who purchase only for their own needs, in the unified information system of the Committee “FAIR TECH” the section “Control of purchases of ethyl alcohol” was created.
Also, the Committee and its territorial bodies in cooperation with the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Health, the Agency for Regulation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market and Wine Development, the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency under the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan were relevant information on the license, production capacity, volumes of food and technical ethyl alcohol required for annual production and other relevant information on operating enterprises for the production of alcohol were received, the information is entered into the information system.
Accordingly, to date, an address list of more than 250 business entities has been formed and submitted to commodity exchanges, which are now allowed to purchase food and technical ethyl alcohol on stock exchanges.
In total, from June 1 to June 21 of this year, 635,000 decaliters of ethyl alcohol were supplied to the exchange at an average price of 269,000 soums per decaliter, 285,000 decaliters (45 percent) were purchased at these prices by 63 business entities.
