The fact that agricultural products from Uzbekistan is in great demand in the foreign market is not a secret for anyone. Growing demand creates export opportunities. But…
But we are alarmed by various reports from entrepreneurs in the regions who say that they regularly encounter problems in export sales.
In particular, if entrepreneurs would like to purchase agricultural products in other regions, they are hindered by local authorities, indicating to them that entrepreneurs are required to register their products in that specific area and also to export from this territory.
05.03.2020 Kun.uz website published an article named “The mechanism works the other way around – the head of the Association of Exporters on a problem that has been haunting exporters for years.” During a conversation with the head of the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan, Mukhtor Umarov, he indicated that in some areas there are various types of pressure from regional officials on the free sale of exporters’ products.
We should point out that such actions contradict the requirements of Article 12 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Competition”
DEAR ENTREPRENEURS !!!
If you have encountered similar obstacles and pressure from the local authorities in business activities or are being prevented from exporting agricultural products, you can leave an appeal to the Antimonopoly Committee.
The Antimonopoly Committee will consider your appeal with the involvement of the relevant authorities.
