{"id":81085,"date":"2026-07-17T09:53:03","date_gmt":"2026-07-17T04:53:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/raqobat.gov.uz\/?p=81085"},"modified":"2026-07-17T09:53:03","modified_gmt":"2026-07-17T04:53:03","slug":"the-competition-committee-analyzed-consumer-appeals-in-the-healthcare-and-pharmaceutical-sectors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/raqobat.gov.uz\/en\/the-competition-committee-analyzed-consumer-appeals-in-the-healthcare-and-pharmaceutical-sectors\/","title":{"rendered":"The Competition Committee analyzed consumer appeals in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"5868\" data-end=\"6100\">During the elapsed period of 2026, the Competition Committee received more than 900 appeals related to healthcare services and the pharmaceutical sector, representing an almost twofold increase compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6102\" data-end=\"6248\">As a result of reviewing these appeals, more than UZS 300 million paid for goods and services was recalculated and returned in favor of consumers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6250\" data-end=\"6436\">The analysis indicates that a number of issues affecting consumers also have a negative impact on businesses that operate honestly and lawfully in the healthcare and cosmetology sectors.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"6438\" data-end=\"6473\">The main issues identified include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"6474\" data-end=\"7037\">\n<li data-section-id=\"eqelgn\" data-start=\"6474\" data-end=\"6562\">the absence of unified and transparent regulations governing private medical services;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1bxwjyq\" data-start=\"6563\" data-end=\"6697\">failure to fully comply with qualification requirements when performing medical and surgical procedures in the field of cosmetology;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1yeqk3d\" data-start=\"6698\" data-end=\"6806\">the use of certain medical devices and pharmaceutical products that have not undergone state registration;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"bfu6n9\" data-start=\"6807\" data-end=\"6924\">insufficient and unclear information provided by private clinics regarding IVF (in vitro fertilization) procedures;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1ka6av\" data-start=\"6925\" data-end=\"7037\">inadequate prior explanation of the potential consequences and specific characteristics of medical procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"7039\" data-end=\"7190\">In addition, to prevent such violations, &#8220;mystery shopper&#8221; inspections are being conducted across the regions in accordance with approved action plans.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"7192\" data-end=\"7381\">These activities help prevent violations of consumer rights in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors and ensure that appropriate measures are taken to eliminate identified shortcomings.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"7383\" data-end=\"7682\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The Competition Committee reminds consumers that if their rights are violated in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors, they should submit an appeal to the Committee.
