Today marked the opening of the 25th Annual Conference of the International Competition Network \u2014 the ICN Annual Conference 2026 in Manila, Philippines<\/p>\n
The ICN is one of the leading international platforms in the field
\nof competition policy, annually bringing together around 400 regulators and experts from more than 140 jurisdictions worldwide to discuss current challenges, exchange experience, and promote modern approaches and tools for competition development.<\/p>\n
Within the framework of the forum, Chairman of the Committee Khalilillo Turakhujaev held a meeting with Ori Schwartz, Head of the Competition Division of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. During
\nthe negotiations, the parties discussed issues related to further strengthening cooperation with the OECD, expanding the participation of the Committee\u2019s staff
\nin the programmes of the OECD-GVH Regional Centre for Competition,
\nas well as enhancing the institutional capacity of the Committee.<\/p>\n
Particular attention was given to the prospects for implementing joint initiatives with the OECD, including the assessment of the economic and social effects of Uzbekistan\u2019s competition policy, expert analysis of national competition legislation, and the possibility of organizing one of the RCC events in Uzbekistan.<\/p>\n
In addition, the Chairman of the Committee discussed the participation
\nof an OECD representative as a speaker at the upcoming international conference
\nto be held in Tashkent on 16\u201317 June this year.<\/p>\n
For his part, Ori Schwartz expressed readiness to facilitate the participation
\nof an OECD representative as a speaker at the event.<\/p>\n
