On February 6-9 and 13-16 of this \u0435ars, a training course \u201cCost of service regulation in energy sector to achieve cost-reflective tariffs in Central Asian countries\u201d was held at the \u201cRadisson Blu Tashkent\u201d Hotel in Tashkent.<\/p>\n

This course was organized in the frame of the project \u201cEnergy Regulatory Cooperation in Central Asia\u201d of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Association of U.S. Utility Regulatory Commissioners (NARUC).<\/p>\n

\"\"This two-week technical training course, developed by NARUC experts on electricity tariffs, consisted of four modules and was aimed at building the capacity of regulators and institutions in the energy sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n

\"\"During the event, experts from the international audit and consulting company KPMG and regional experts were scheduled to speak on the courses of the technical training module and the areas of “Regulatory accounting” (February 6-7), “The main components of the cost of services and calculation methods” (February 8-9), “The process of cost allocation between classes of consumers, and consumer classes” (February 13-14), “Tariff setting and protection of vulnerable consumers” (February 15-16).<\/p>\n
